  • Some of the third party data processors used by us may be located outside of the South African Area. Where We transfer any personal data outside the RSA, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated as safely and securely as it would be within the RSA.

  • We may disclose your personal data to our insurers and/or professional advisers insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining insurance coverage, managing risks, obtaining professional advice and managing legal disputes.

  • Should SATOD become involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we’ll continue to ensure the confidentiality of your personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

  • We will share personal information outside of SATOD if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to meet any applicable law, regulation or legal process.

15. Your legal rights

  • request that inaccurate personal data be corrected

  • request that your personal data be erased

  • object to your personal data being processed or to request processing should be restricted

No fee usually required.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights).
